Last update in NYC

Hi Folks.

It's a teary Monday morning, for it will be my last in New York (for the next little while)...next week you'll be hearing from me in DC! Aaah!

- I'm getting published in the Catholic Register about cohabitation. Fun :o) I mention Chesterton! Tehee. Now you really want to read it...

- Getting packed up - thankfully everything I own fits into 1 big suitcase and 2 small suitcases. Getting through the customs will be a hoot. "What do you have in there Ma'am?" -"Uh, clothes and shoes, mostly flats(that don't have room for shoe bombs...but I probably shouldn't bring that point up myself)"

- I went to Tiffany's for the last time Sunday :'( But friends assure me Tiffany's too is in Washington. So maybe I'll get over this soon. But it won't be fifth avenue Tiffany's...but so long as there's Tiffany's, we will be fine.

- Spent 3 hours contentedly digging into vampire novels on Sunday (post-Tiffany's - was feeling sentimental you see), at the bookstore Borders. It was awesome. I don't know what I do on Sundays but it should have been book browsing. Clearly.

- Also went to a street food fair - lots of fun Greek food, french food, jewellery from China (sniff sniff, much better stuff to be found at home i.e. Hong Kong, thus it was something I only tolerated rather than admired. There are after all, loyalties that must be observed.)

- Crossed the Brooklyn Bridge on Saturday and we're going today to eat Pizza at Grimaldi's (Apparently a "hole in the wall" but authentic Italian pizza. I'll watch them eat tehee)

- I found another house in DC! It's in a safer neighbourhood, (Alexandria), and I am checking it out on Monday - the girls and I are going to theology on tap after together, so it sounds like we will get along. I have a good feeling about it. we'll see. am keeping options open.

- work visa is on its way - thankfully i have b-1 status till Sept 27, so some time to get it done, and the List people are working on it.
