I was having coffee with a friend when I noticed by the other table a most curious phenomenon. A group of women, each with...a different skein of yarn. And different projects. And they were laughing and sharing patterns and stories and it just looked...so cosy! So random! A knitters' group about 2 minutes away from my house! It was then I knew the move to the West end was a smart one. I'm so excited at this project of raising knitters cultural profile. Well, it's not a project so much as I hope by knitting everywhere imaginable I can contribute to the debunking of the notion that knitting is only for the very bored.
It just so happens we knitters may actually be the least bored, at any given time. Think about that.
