2 months of whirlwind

Hm. I thought I should bite the bullet and blog now, before I abandon my blog forever, and never write again due to the toll of actually thinking about the things that've transpired in the last little while.

- I got sent back from the US border. Must return to Canada. The visa I applied for was insufficient for an unpaid internship apparently (Despite the fact that I did indeed obsessively research and bother immigration lawyer friends about the application. The lady at the border decided that a recent university graduate, with no strings to Canada anymore, clearly cannot be trusted to want to do only an unpaid internship for three months during the US elections. And that, my friend, was that. So it's midnight, I'm sitting at the border, and a greyhound bus towards Toronto breezes by, and I plead to the driver to take me back despite my ticket being Washington DC Bound. He reluctantly agrees, mercifully. 2am and I'm back in Toronto. I call an old and dear friend, who promptly picks me up. And then had to hit the ground running the next few days:
- Got a phone number
- Found an apartment
- Set up job interviews.

- So now I'm settled, working at a Pregnancy Centre downtown, we help young mothers and support them as they go through their pregnancy (often the mothers are scared, alone, in need of counseling and material support).

I guess my blog will be less lively now that I'm no longer travelling...but hopefully I'll still have some interesting things to write about. Surely.
Hm. Anyway :P That's that!
